Meet the Team: Rachel Brown, Executive Assistant

As an Executive Assistant at Woodforest Acceptance Solutions (WAS), Rachel Brown supports the company’s CEO while also assisting other C-level executives as needed. Her role requires a high level of organization, adaptability, and discretion, with responsibilities ranging from meeting coordination and travel planning to project support, SharePoint file organization, meal ordering, minute-taking, and industry event support.

For Rachel, no two days are ever the same. The pace and variety of the role allow her to stay engaged while supporting leadership in a meaningful way. Whether she is managing shifting priorities, coordinating logistics, or helping move major projects forward, Rachel’s work plays an important role in keeping executive operations aligned and efficient.

“Each day brings new challenges and experiences, allowing me to continuously learn, stay engaged, and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s success.”

What Rachel finds most rewarding about working at WAS is the people. She describes the culture as kind, supportive, and welcoming—an environment where employees can contribute to a shared goal while also feeling comfortable being themselves. That sense of belonging is a key part of what makes the organization stand out.

In her role, Rachel values working closely with C-level executives who respect the partnership an Executive Assistant provides. For her, the work is most rewarding when there is mutual trust, appreciation, and clear communication between leadership and support teams.

Rachel was drawn to WAS by the opportunity to grow in a new industry. With previous experience in oil and gas and healthcare, she brought a strong foundation in fast-paced, high-demand environments. Transitioning into FinTech gave her the opportunity to expand her knowledge while contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.

She stays motivated by maintaining a growth mindset. Every day offers a chance to refine her skills, learn more about the business, and support leadership at a high level. That combination of responsibility, variety, and continuous learning keeps the role both engaging and rewarding.

Outside of work, Rachel brings the same focus and discipline to her personal life. She is a black belt in Taekwondo and a proud mom of 9-year-old twins.
