How would you describe your role at WAS?
As a member of the inside sales team, I engage with business owners referred through our partner Woodforest Bank’s branches, or those who come from our social media or our website, to find them the best tailored solution for their businesses as far as virtual terminals or POS systems. My main regions include North Carolina, New York, and Pennsylvania.
What do you like about working at WAS?
I’ve never seen a more welcoming environment. When I showed up on my first day everyone was so excited and so supportive. It’s always a plus when you love who you work with, and I know my team members – even though we all have our own roles and regions – we have the same common goal and are always ready to be all hands on deck for anyone who needs it.
What’s something you look forward to each day coming to work?
The employees. Even on the most stressful day, everyone is always very lighthearted and keeps things positive. Also, our merchants! I’ve always been a really empathetic and caring person, so I don’t want to sign someone up for something that won’t make them happy. Making a merchant happy and giving them something that has a positive impact on their business will always make me happy and feel like I’m doing my role better. Â
If your workday had a theme song, what would it be and why?
Our team will randomly start singing songs out of nowhere, and then we’ll turn into an acapella group. David and Dylan always start, and one of their go-to’s is ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,’ so I’ll go with that!
Favorite office snack?
I am always eating snacks. I love Dot’s Pretzels (the cinnamon sugar ones), veggie chips, and pasta salad.
Favorite way to unwind after work?
I like to go on a walk with my husband, Ryan, and our dog, Chosen. His name is Chosen because he’s the chosen one – the runt of the litter, the only gold one with blue eyes. We call him ChoCho for short.
