Overview of the Users – Roles Module #
- The Users and Roles Modules allow businesses to assign specific permissions to individual users based on their roles within the organization.
Creating and Customizing Roles #
- Roles can be tailored to meet business-specific needs, such as:
- Admin Role
- Cashier Role
- Front Counter Role
- Each role comes with customizable permissions that determine what a user can access and perform within the software.
Example of Role Customization #
- For instance, a Cashier Role may have:
- No access to Purchase Orders (cannot view or create them).
- By customizing permissions, users are limited to specific views and functionalities relevant to their role.
Setting Up Users #
- In the Users Module, input the following user information:
- Username
- First Name and Last Name
- Password
- Mobile Number
- Assign the user to the appropriate role with its corresponding permissions.
Additional User Settings #
- Define user-specific preferences such as:
- Last Visited Store
- Last Visited Cash Register
- Preferred Language
- Six-Digit Quick Login PIN
- Login and Clock-In Options
- Hourly Rate
Finalizing User Roles #
- Once a user is created and assigned a role:
- They will only see modules and functionalities permitted by their role.
- Restricted modules will not be visible or accessible to them.
Conclusion #
- The Users – Roles Module provides a secure and flexible system to manage user access, ensuring team members have the right permissions to perform their roles efficiently while protecting sensitive business operations.
